Contract Management Officer (Operations)

This role is responsible for supporting and improving Operations Program procurement, development, administration and management of contracts for goods and services, and works in accordance with City of Darwin's policies. It involves both direct administration of procurement activities and contracts, while also providing support and advice to Operations team members.

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong background in contract management and procurement, preferably with experience of working within a public sector environment to allow your knowledge to transfer seamlessly to City of Darwin and its practises. Your educational background will allow you to provide solid contract advice, and you'll demonstrate an excellent working understanding of contract law. This role will require you to use your strong attention to detail in ensuring complex documents are understood and you'll easily identify potential contractual risks that could impact operations.

Your hard work will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package and generous leave entitlements. This position has a starting salary of $95,527.33 per annum plus superannuation 12%. You will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in contract law, procurement or similar qualification
  • Minimum of five years' experience in contract management and procurement, preferably within a public sector environment
  • National Criminal History Check (current)
  • Possession of C Class Driver's Licence
  • General Construction Industry White Card, or ability to obtain
