Leading Hand - City Maintenance

In this role you'll play an important function in the City Maintenance Team, by providing hands on support to your team via the daily coordination of team members and other resources to ensure effective delivery of the scheduled maintenance works planned across the municipality.
We are looking for someone who has a proactive work ethic, has great interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships and understands the importance of being a team player. It'll also be important to bring good time management skills, ensure a level of attention to detail when completing important works, and can be flexible within a fast-paced environment.
Successful candidates will have:
- Cert III in Horticulture or equivalent qualification and/or experience in a similar role for three years
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
- General Construction Industry - White Card
- Aus Chem (competencies below)
- AHCCHM307 - Prepare and apply chemicals to control pests, weeds and diseases
- AHCCHM304 - Transport and store chemicals
- Minimum of three years grounds / maintenance experience
- Work Zone Traffic Management 2 & 3
- RIIWHS205D Control Traffic with Stop-Slow Bat
- RIIWHS302D Implement Traffic Management Plan
- Coach others in job skills
- Demonstrate leading hand / supervisory skills
- Chainsaw Competencies
- FWPCOT2236 Fall trees manually Chainsaw Basic
- FWPCOT2239 Trim & Cut felled trees
- First Aid Certificate (including CPR and Basic Emergency)
