We currently have a new Executive Leadership opportunity, and we are seeking a transformational, innovative, passionate, and progressive individual to lead and manage our Regulatory Services Program area.

Operating within an agile structure coupled with a high-performance culture, this position will be a primary advisor to the General Manager Community Services and will deliver key compliance and enforcement activities to promote public safety and facilities in the areas of CBD and suburban parking, public places patrols, and animal management. You will deliver initiatives, and strategies, and develop standards to ensure compliance across Local Government Act and Regulations, By-Laws and all other relevant legislation.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in the Government regulatory or compliance environment, an excellent understanding of the economic, social and governance issues relating to local government and the overall context in which the regulatory sector operates. As a leader, you would describe yourself as contemporary, collaborative, and responsive, with the capacity to lead change and engagement whilst fostering effective internal and external relationships.

To be considered for this role, you will have a:

  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience in a regulatory or compliance environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience in regulation within the animal management sector

In return, we offer a competitive remuneration package, generous leave entitlements circa $170,000 + vehicle allowance + super per annum, which is negotiable depending on skills, knowledge, and experience. We have flexible working arrangements to support the ebbs and flows of workload given the nature of the role and a supportive working environment.
