Permanent full-time opportunity in our Civil Infrastructure team
About the Opportunity
We have a full-time permanent employment opportunity for a Civil Labourer in our Civil Infrastructure section (Concrete Services team). Based at our Operations facility in Woolner, this position is required to perform general civil labouring duties to support the maintenance and construction of the Council's civil infrastructure including roads, drains, footpaths, driveways, cycle paths, disabled access, and public places.
A standard day sees you starting sometimes at 6.30am in the morning and finishing at 4.15pm with a monthly rostered day off. You must enjoy working as part of a team and be comfortable and capable of working full days in the tropical environment that we have here in the NT.
To be considered for the assistant role (Level 1A) you must:
- Hold and maintain a Class C driver's licence.
- Hold a General Construction Industry - White Card
To be considered for the Civil Labourer role (Level 1) you must:
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
- General Construction Industry - White Card
- Certificate II in Construction or equivalent qualification and/or minimum two years relevant experience
- Work Zone Traffic Management 2 & 3

The position has a base salary of $58,907.22 per annum (level1A) and $61,611.59 per annum (level 1), negotiable based on experience, plus superannuation. City of Darwin also provides generous leave entitlements such as 6 weeks annual leave, 15 days personal leave and a paid RDO each month.
