About the Opportunity:
This role will have oversite and management of the Geospatial Information System (GIS) ensuring the ongoing effective integration and synchronisation with the Asset Management Information System (AMIS) is maintained for the purpose of our Strategic Asset Management. (SAM). This role will be responsible in the maintenance of cadastral, topographic, and other data sets necessary for the operation and utilisation of the GIS and AMIS throughout the organisation. The GIS Officer will be the organisation wide champion in the use of GIS & AMIS systems and develop and conduct appropriate training to end users as required. The successful applicant must have experience in developing briefs for consultancy works and participate in tender documentation and assessment as required for relevant Infrastructure programs.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree with a major in Geospatial Information Systems
- Remote Pilot Licence (RePL)
- General Construction Industry - White Card
- Drivers Licence
- Minimum two (2) years relevant experience in GIS / Asset Management field
Desirable but not essential:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in GIS/Asset Management field.
- Graduate Certificate in GIS

At City of Darwin, we offer competitive remuneration with generous leave entitlements. This position has a commencing base salary of $91,887.33 - 101,152 per annum, and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
