Payroll Officer

Part-time opportunity (FTE 0.6)

About the Opportunity:

This position is required to undertake the administrative delivery of the day-to-day processing of the employee payroll in an accurate and timely manner. In addition to this the payroll officer is required to provide excellence in customer service and where required handle payroll enquiries in a timely, professional, and educative manner. Part of your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all employees who have queries or requests relating to their payroll matters.
  • Assist with the review and development of payroll policy, procedures, and business instructions.
  • Undertake the weekly payroll preparation and processing including:
  • Updating master files
  • Creating new employee files
  • Preparation required to open pays
  • Posting and follow up of leave applications
  • Data entry for payroll processing each cycle
  • Checking of payroll processing and other data entries as required
  • Actual system processing

This position will receive the pro rata equivalent of an annual salary of $ 67,736.59 plus superannuation up to $73,789.06 depending on experience.

About you:

As a payroll Officer, you will have a keen eye for detail and high level of ICT literacy and competence with finance and/or payroll systems.

To be considered for this role you will have a:

Level 2

  • Certificate III in Business or equivalent qualifications and/or one (1) year work experience in a related field such as finance/payroll or Human Resources
  • National Police Records Check
  • Current Drivers Licence

Level 3

  • Certificate IV Payroll Administration or Cert IV in HR Management or equivalent qualifications and/or a minimum of 2 years work experience in a relevant field such as finance/payroll or Human Resources
  • National Police Records Check
  • Current Drivers Licence
