About the role
Our Rangers provide high level customer service by proactively promoting all areas of Regulatory Services to the community by responding to enquiries regarding Council's By-laws and other applicable legislations.
To be successful in this role you will be required to conduct daily CBD foot patrols within specified routes to ensure parking control compliance with the Australian Road Rules and Northern Territory Traffic Regulations to provide safe and accessible on and off-street parking to visitors of the CBD.
You will also be required to provide effective and timely responses to public enquiries and complaints regarding parking, anti-social behaviour, and other related legislative non-compliance matters.
If you have previous experience in a Regulatory environment or Animal Management you will be considered to be placed within our Animal Management or Public Places teams if vacancies arise and dependant on your experience, where the duties will be to - undertake investigations and evidence collection, including statements, interviews, inspections, warrants and seizures on a range of issues such as but not limited to animal management, parking control, untidy allotments, abandoned vehicles, activities in public places, dumping of rubbish.
About you
We are looking for individuals who are experienced in providing frontline service delivery through proactive and effective customer service skills, highly developed communications skills, teamwork, exceptional work ethic, and sound ICT skills actioning a range of administration and frontline community tasks.
In order to be considered for level 2, you must have the following:
- Possession of a Class C Drivers Licence
- Ability to obtain a National Police Records Check
In order to be considered for level 3, you must have the following:
- The entry level criteria listed above and;
- Cert IV in Government Investigations or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrated experience in related field (Minimum 2 years)
