The main aim of this position is timely delivery of designated projects and programs within City of Darwin's capital works program. In this position, it is required to maintain sound and productive relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure scheduled works are communicated effectively, delivered on time and in a harmonious and effective manner.

About you:

In this role as Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects and programs are achieved. You will be an organised and efficient person, who ensures projects are completed within set timelines. Your knowledge and experience will allow you to confidently provide technical advice relating to construction. Effective communication and interpersonal skills will be key to ensuring you build and maintain excellent working relationships with construction professionals, service authorities, government and external departments.

This position has a salary range of $88,528.02 - $95,527.33 per annum plus superannuation 12% (For employees under EA) As a permanent employee you also get access to our wellbeing program, employee assistance counselling program, district allowance and receive 17.5% additional pay when on annual leave.

You will have:

Level 5

  • Diploma of Civil Construction/Diploma of Project Management and/or equivalent experience
  • OHS White Card (current)
  • Driver's Licence Class C

Level 6

  • Diploma of Civil Construction/Diploma of Project Management
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • OHS White Card (current)
  • Driver's License Class C
