Irrigation Technician - Multiple Levels

We have two positions available in our Irrigation team focussing on the installation, management and maintenance of City of Darwin's controlled irrigation systems to ensure our parks and open spaces are well maintained, while sustainably managing water use.
Your efficiency will be important in ensuring tasks are undertaken within daily and weekly schedules. It will be crucial to proactively participate and engage to ensure you develop skills in relation to the Council's telemetric irrigation systems.

$67,736.67 per annum, negotiable based on experience, plus superannuation 12%. As a permanent employee you also get access to our wellbeing program, employee assistance counselling program, district allowance and receive 17.5% additional pay when on annual leave.
Level 1A
- General Construction Industry - White Card
- C Class Drivers Licence - ability to obtain MR (18 - 24 months)
Level 1
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
- Certificate II in Irrigation or equivalent qualification and / or minimum of 2 (two) years relevant experience in commercial irrigation systems
Level 2:
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
- General Construction White Card
- Certificate III in Irrigation or equivalent qualification and / or minimum of 3 (three) years relevant experience in commercial irrigation systems
- Work Zone Traffic Management 2 & 3
- Demonstrated experience of coaching others in job skills
