A permanent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and qualified candidate to join City of Darwin in the role of Senior Procurement & Contracts Officer.

About the role

This role is required to provide specialist expertise related to the delivery of the procurement and contracts administration frameworks and processes. This role will also provide subject matter advice to the organisation thereby maintaining a strong culture of continuous improvement and compliance in accordance with legislative requirements and City of Darwin's approved strategic procurement framework.

  • Corporate Systems

As a subject matter expert you will be required to work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver procurement services and solutions (end-to-end procurement + contracts). You will be able to establish procurement activities, follow timelines, communicate the process and ensure everyone is on the same page. You will understand priorities and would be able to give advice for the best outcomes.

About YOU

You will have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. You will be willing to work, learn and share knowledge and best practices.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • A Degree/Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant operational experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory role.
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Drivers Licence
